Our guide to the best summer events in Ridge Meadows

Summers are not long in Vancouver, thanks to the rain but while we’re here, there’s a lot happening around for you to enjoy in Ridge Meadows.

Maple Ridge

Whether you’re looking for a bounce park, family games night or summer concerts, there are Happenings events every Wednesday and Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Don’t forget the mouth-watering food trucks on-site!

Every Saturday, buy fresh produce, indulge in some sugary goodness and support local vendors at the Haney Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Pitt Meadows

A break from the music, knitting and stitching, as you sit with like-minded people? Sounds like therapy to me. Starting July 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. bring your supplies and learn a new skill at the Pitt Meadows Public Library, open for all ages.

Let your imagination run wild with the self-led art sessions to motivate you and share ideas every Tuesday and Wednesday at the Bonson Open Art Studio from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Obviously, summer is incomplete without some live music. Bruce James Orchestra along with other talented performers are set to take the stage at the Summer Serenade series, happening every Wednesday till August 24 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Spirit Square.

Aside from music, Shakespeare’s As You Like It will be performed for Bard on the Bandstand at Spirit Square from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. from July 14 to 16.
